About AlphaStaff:  AlphaStaff, Inc., is a fast growing, privately-owned human resources outsourcing company specializing in human resources management, medical and benefits solutions, payroll, and other products and services designed to relieve the administrative burden of operating small and medium size businesses.  AlphaStaff has approximately 100 corporate employees with headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and has operations across the United States. 

Position Summary:  The New Products Manger will be responsible for establishing and leading a new division to increase revenue through the addition of expanded product and service offerings for our SMB client base and their employees.  This individual will be responsible for all aspects of product management including product planning, competitive market analysis, development of product business plans, setting pricing and contracting parameters, and managing go-to-market activities and product rollouts.

The New Products Manger will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and have extensive interaction with the CEO, CFO, and Chairman of the Board, as well as collaborating closely with our internal sales force, client service specialists and assorted subject matter experts.  In addition, certain projects may provide an opportunity to learn about joint venture structuring and acquisitions with our private equity partners. This is a full-time exempt position that is located in the Company’s headquarter office in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Determine customers' needs and specify the research needed to obtain market information
  • Conduct competitive market analysis for proposed products
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product/service lines by identifying and evaluating new product ideas
  • Develop marketing objectives and oversee communications for product offering
  • Develop business plan and revenue and profitability projections for new product offerings including preparing:
    • short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and analyses
    • proposed product requirements and product development programs;
    • return-on-investment analyses; and
    • time schedules
  • Provide ongoing project management of internal and external resources to rollout new products
  • Track and analyze data regarding product offering performance
  • Determine product pricing

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with two to five years of relevant work experience, or MBA, required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Possess good business judgement
  • Ability to understand motivation of different stakeholders
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Basic finance, accounting and marketing skills
  • Technical software and programming skills are not required; however, applicants should be comfortable using internet and online software demonstrations, basic user interfaces, and mobile applications and standard business software
  • Ability to travel from time to time, as required
