Position Summary:   

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new lead opportunities in support of our Business Development Managers (BDMs).

Responsibilities

  • Immediate follow up on incoming telephone leads
  • Monitor lead activity converting them to prospect/opportunities for Sales team
  • Support lead generation activities such as attending trade shows, etc.
  • Liaise with assigned BDMs to ensure leads have scheduled meetings
  • Qualify leads and schedule phone or in-person appointments for the BDMs
  • Utilize the Company’s client relationship management tool to update lead information and data management
  • Develop lead campaigns utilizing tools such as email and social media
  • Develop and initiate new programs to improve lead flow generation and management
  • Support channel development efforts with new brokers
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience with B2B phone sales and/or telemarketing preferred
  • Experience with SalesForce preferred or comparable customer relationship management system
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe suite of products
  • Experience with insurance sales or insurance carrier communications a plus
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Strong telephone phone skills
  • Strong commitment to excellent customer service with an ability to utilize persuasive communication
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees and levels of management
  • Ability to handle rejection
  • Some travel may be required
