Position Summary:

The HR Manager promotes and implements human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs and directing staff training, counseling, and development of staff. The human resources manager will also take the lead in developing organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues. This role will also be responsible for sourcing, attracting, selecting and hiring top talent in the market.

 Responsibilities:

  • Supports management by providing human resources direction and guidance
  • Coaches and mentors team members through the process of understanding the needs and responsibilities of human resources within a large organization
  • Understands cultural norms, traditions, and working with diverse teams
  • Guides management and employee actions by developing HR guidelines, communicating the guidelines and enforcing organization values
  • Creates and updates compliant employee handbook
  • Handles employee complaints regarding unfair practice, including allegations of discrimination, retaliation and harassment
  • Establishes and maintains employee records and reports; able to direct others in the organization to adherence to record-keeping guidelines
  • Trains managers on hiring, onboarding, team development, performance management, diversity and sensitivity, etc.
  • Handles employee complaints regarding unfair practice, including allegations of discrimination, retaliation and harassment
  • Oversees payroll and ensures timely processing and reporting
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Establishes and maintains employee records and reports; able to direct others in the organization to adherence to record-keeping guidelines
  • Work closely with management on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in hiring practices
  • Use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms, networking events and job fairs
  • Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality and salary requirements
  • Act as a key business partner to members of the company to improve the recruiting process
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required
  • PHR/SPHR certification strongly preferred
  • Previous experience seeking talent recruitment and assisting with onboarding processes
  • Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates
  • Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any questions a potential hire may have
  • 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource and/or talent acquisition roles
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills. 
  • Ability to learn, adapt to new situations and train and develop team members.  
  • Strong Customer Orientation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required
  • PHR/SPHR certification strongly preferred
  • Previous experience seeking talent recruitment and assisting with onboarding processes
  • Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates
  • Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any questions a potential hire may have
