Position Summary:

The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for calculating, preparing, filing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual federal, state, and local payroll tax returns. This role also manages client calls and provides exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities: 

  • Timely and accurate calculation, support, reconciliation, analysis, and appropriate corrective issue resolution and delivery of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual federal, state, and local payroll tax returns and remittance of related payroll taxes
  • Assist with the resolution of issues and/or questions from clients and management related to federal, state and local payroll tax returns
  • Support the Payroll Tax team with incoming calls related to Form W-2 inquiries
  • Tax notice & tax research and analysis of technical issues,
  • Provide support to Payroll Tax Manager and/or other Payroll Tax team members as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Payroll processing experience a plus
  • Knowledge of MasterTax, Prism/HRP, and SalesForce a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with ability work collaboratively with clients, employees, and management across multiple departments
  • Strong commitment to excellent customer service and dedicated team player
