Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial reports that are provided to Company’s senior management and board of directors; conducting special analytical projects including supporting potential merger and acquisition and private equity investment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze financial information provided to stockholders and the board by corporate management, including monthly/quarterly reporting, budget and forecast reporting, and sales and operational reporting.
  • Work with the leadership team to improve reporting of key business metrics and develop action plans to improve value for the business based on those plans.
  • Assist with the preparation of models, analysis and investment memos to support potential acquisitions as well as additional third-party investments including attending meetings related to structuring and due diligence.
  • Analyze financial data to assist management in understanding trends and variances.
  • Conduct special analytical projects to support the board such as profitability analysis of the different areas of the business, exploring what the Company’s value proposition is as compared to competitors and reviewing potential acquisitions.
  • Interpret data and prepare model reporting to forecast and budget.
  • Investigate and report to Senior Management and/or Chairman any inconsistencies or improprieties.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested.

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or related field required
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in related work/management fields
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and communication skills as well as the ability to “see beyond the numbers.”
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly understand the business issues and challenges of the Company and industry.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple and time-sensitive projects
  • Able from time to time to work on weekends and evenings
  • Discretion and business maturity.
