Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Python, SQL, and Power BI, and be comfortable engaging directly with clients to understand business needs and deliver data-driven insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT team to create advanced reports, build robust data models from scratch, and implement the best practices in Power BI architecture to support decision-making and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Power BI Reports and Dashboards: Build visually appealing, interactive, and insightful Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business needs and enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Data Modeling: Create complex data models in Power BI from scratch, ensuring efficient data structures, relationships, and integrity for reporting and analysis.
• Power BI Architecture Implementation: Design and implement scalable, efficient, and best-practice Power BI architectures, including optimal use of datasets, dataflows, gateways, and Power BI service configurations.
• Data Extraction and Integration: Integrate data from various sources such as databases, data lakes, and external files to create unified data models and comprehensive reports.
• DAX and Power Query: Write complex DAX formulas and queries in Power Query to implement business logic and calculations necessary for analytical insights.
• Data Quality and Performance Optimization: Ensure the accuracy, performance, and reliability of Power BI reports by optimizing data models, DAX expressions, and report designs for performance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key business users and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and iterate through feedback loops to refine Power BI reports.
• Documentation: Document technical processes, data model designs, and architecture setups, and create user guides for Power BI solutions.
• Training and Support: Provide training, support, and best practices guidance to end-users and other Power BI users across the organization.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in Power BI report development, data modeling, and implementation of Power BI solutions.
• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service; knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and hands-on experience in building and optimizing complex data models (star schema, snowflake schema) from scratch.
• Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated columns, measures, and managing data relationships.
• Advanced Power Query skills for data transformation, cleansing, and shaping.
• Experience working with SQL databases and writing queries to extract data for Power BI.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data integration concepts.
• Experience with Power BI architecture design, including setting up dataflows, on-premise data gateways, and premium capacities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and understand business needs.
• Experience with performance tuning of Power BI reports, including data model optimization, DAX query performance, and load balancing.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
